‘Energy Edition’ at this year’s Oualie Fest
Now in its third year, the Oualie Fest will be taking place just after Thanksgiving, on the 24th and 26th of November. The festival aims at showcasing Nevisian and Kittitian talent to help promote youth development in music, sport and culture.
The showdown includes a music concert called the ‘Oualie Fest Concert’, a fitness competition and a comedy show. So far, 11 acts for the music concert have been confirmed with 2 international bands, 3 Kittitian groups and 6 performances from Nevisian artists.
Every year, the show gets bigger and better and this year is no exception. Dubbed the ‘Energy Edition’, organisers hope that this year’s festival will help put young talent and local acts on the map. On top of all the usual excitement, we also hear that there will be a Calypso performance and a special car show on Sunday morning.
Pre-event activities are also planned including an ‘energy corner’ spectacular this Friday (17th) which will include giveaways and incentives to build up support and a buzz for this year’s festival.
