Mad about Merv - An interview with Paradise Beach Nevis' bartender

Paradise Beach Nevis wouldn't be the luxurious haven it is without all our wonderful staff. Over the next few weeks, we'll be introducing them to you. First up is Merv, the smiliest bartender on Nevis!

What is your favourite thing about working at Paradise Beach Nevis?

My favourite thing about working here is that I get to meet new and exciting people and learn about new cultures. At the same time, I am able to expose my guests to my culture and of course make wonderful tasty cocktails for each and every guest.

What food do you recommend guests try?

Whilst on the island you should taste local dishes such as conch fritters, and the traditional Caribbean goats water stew. Being by the sea, you must also eat fresh daily catch such as Mahi, Wahoo, Snapper and Lobster.

Share a magical moment or a funny story from your time working at Paradise Beach Nevis

One magical memory is from two years ago on Old Years Night (New Years Eve). We had a bon fire and a midnight champagne toast with our guest. We watched the fireworks from three different places and it was pretty spectacular.

Do you have a message for guests who are thinking about joining you in paradise?

The best thing about Paradise is that we are the most beautiful, relaxing, peaceful and private place on the Island. If you are not staying at Paradise Beach Nevis, you are missing out!
